Artist Statement:

Music played and I picked up the paintbrush. I tend towards soft melodies but when painting, I prefer a stronger, steadier beat. My feet tapped it out and my hand seemed to find the right rhythm. Only then did my mind wander away… somewhere distant and warm. Before long, I felt my breathing slow, paint flowed and my thoughts gently unfolded on the page within the subtle strokes of ink. Sometimes I am surprised by what comes out of the simple act of daydreaming…
